Milan Fair
Hotel La Residenza is in a privileged position to get to the Milan Fair, either its historic site located downtown, Milan Fair City, or the Fair's new site at Rho – Pero.
If you take the metro trains at the Affori stop, located only 5 minutes by car from the hotel, you then get off at Cadorna and take subway red line number 1 going to Rho Pero. Get off at the Fiera stop, and you will be at the Milan Fair City, however if you continue to the end of the line you will reach the new center at Rho – Pero.
By car: it is easy and quick if from Hotel La Residenza you take the Tangenziale Nord (Ring road) since you can conveniently access either the exhibition grounds downtown, Milan Fair City, or the new center of Milan Fair Rho – Pero.

How to get here
|
The subway station is at only 300 mt far from the Hotel La Residenza and the stop is Affori Centro. At 200 mt far from the hotel there is also the bus stop (line n°70).
By plane:
From Milan Malpensa airport take the Malpensa Express train, which leaves every 30 minutes and gets to Bovisa Station (1,5 far from the hotel) in 35 minutes. Once there, take a taxi calling n°+39 024040, +39 028585 or +39 026969.
From the Linate and Orio al Serio airports, a shuttle bus leaves every 30 minutes for the Central Station of Milan.
By train
From the Central Station, take the underground (yellow line - direction Comasina) for 5 stops till Affori Centro.
Out of the subway station, go leftowards (towards the Esselunga supermarket) and after 200 mt, where there is the Shell petrol station, turn left into via Pastro. Go on for about 100 mt and, in the nearby of the Parco delle Favole, turn right, so you’ll get in via Vittorio Scialoia. The Hotel La Residenza is at about 20 mt far away.
By car:
- from Venice: take autostrada A4 towards Milan, passing the Milano est barrier and continue on until the exit for Cormano.
- from Genoa: take autostrada A7 towards Milan, after reaching the barrier for Milano ovest continue on towards the Tangenziale ovest - Turin, after arriving at the next turnoff continue towards Venice until the exit for Cormano.
- from Bologna: By taking the autostrada A1 towards Milan you will reach the barrier of Milan sud, continue on the Tangenziale est towards Venice, after having passed the exit for Cascina gobba take the road on the right, the Tangenziale A52 towards Turin - Como. After having passed the toll booth, stay to the right and continue on towards Turin until reaching the the exit for Cormano.
- from the Milan airport "Malpensa": take the A8 towards Milan and then take the A4 towards Venice, exiting at the turnoff for Cormano.
Once having come out at Cormano, follow the directions for central Milan: when you come off the slope, make sure you keep to the left and enter the 3-lane main road, go straight ahead under the overpass, and after about 500 metres take the bridge in the direction of Bruzzano-Affori, turning right towards Affori. Keep going until the end lights, and turn left into Via Astesani. Keep going for about 1 km until you get to Via Pellegrino Rossi, and turn left into Via Vignati after the Shell petrol station. At the end of the short Via Vignati, turn left into Via Vittorio Scialoia where, on the right-hand side of the street just after the church, you will find the La Residenza Hotel. The distance from the Cormano exit to the hotel is about 4 km.
