SUMMER 2010 AT SFORZESCO CASTLE OF MILAN- AN EVENING BETWEEN BATTLEMENTS AND BASEMENTS
For La Bella Estate di Milano, Sforzesco Castle offers tourists and those who remain in Milano a rich progamme of evenings visits.
From the 6th August to the 8th August Castello Sforzesco will be the set of the opera Don Pasquale. The show starts at 21, with free entrance with booking.
Twice-weekly evening visits to the battlements of the Castle offer a comprehensive guided tour to learn about the history and architecture of the city, and to admire and photograph countless inexpected views. The two-hours walk tour allows you to learn about many episodes of the city’s history that throw light on six and a half centuries of our past up to the more recent destiny of the Castle, the cradle of Milanese culture.
On two other evenings, the public can visit the covered road of Garland, the charming underground passageway that winds round Castle Sforzesco from the Parco Sempione end. Visitors can admire perfectly preserved tunnels and towers,while they pass through areas of great architectural beauty.

Sforzesco Castle is easily reachable with public transports by Eco Hotel La Residenza:
From the bus stop in P. Rossi street take the bus 70 till the terminal: crossing Sempione Park you arrive at Sforzesco Castle.
Otherwise, take the subway at Maciachini (MM3) till Duomo; here take the red line (MM1) till Cairoli; this subway stop is in front of the Castle.
